The Team

Dr. Throop completed her undergraduate work at Amherst College, then finished her pre-medical training at Columbia University in New York City.  Dr. Throop earned her Medical Degree from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is an established and highly skilled psychiatrist with over 11 years of experience. She is sought after for her ability to connect with her patients and takes a true team approach.  She is our collaborating Psychiatrist and guides our team of providers.

Dr. Haas completed her undergraduate from University of Missouri - Columbia, then went on to obtain her Doctorate of Nursing from University of Missouri - St. Louis with a certification in Psychiatry.  Prior to obtaining her doctorate she worked as a psychiatric nurse at Mercy Hospital.  Dr. Haas is known for her team approach and helping patients and their support systems gain a better understanding of medication management and the incorporation of therapeutic interventions. 

Kelly is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), who has worked with individuals across the lifespan. She has experience in treating a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, adhd, bipolar disorder, and thought disorders including schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. Her services include psychiatric evaluations and medication management with special attention to each individual’s needs and concerns. In doing so, she pays special attention to each client’s personal history, specific contexts, history stressful or traumatic life experiences, and concerns about medications. It is her goal to always demonstrate patience, warmth, and understanding in her approach to treatment planning and mental health education. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly for some, she will work at your preferred pace and hopefully become partners in your journey to wellness.

Laura graduated from University of Missouri - St. Louis with her Masters of Social Work.  She has worked in the behavioral health field for 20 years in various settings.  She supervised inpatient psychiatric social workers along with Emergency Room social workers at Barnes-Jewish while also overseeing the forensics for more than 8 years.  More recently she was the Executive Director of a start up behavioral health clinic.  She works alongside the other providers to ensure patients are connected to appropriate resources.
